When it comes to changing our lives there are things that are, just the way they are.   Empowerment and change are possible in the future though because nothing in life is static nor do our stories have to remain the same forever.   Maybe just for now, we have to have acceptance.

One of the biggest, and not always the easiest thing to change is the way we react to events in our daily lives.   We may have spent the last 20 years reacting the same way but, and this is important to note, it’s never too late to change the way we do react.   We always have a choice on this one.
When we are talking about taking action or making a choice to change we are mainly looking at our emotional self.   What emotion comes up for us the most when we are triggered?   Is it anger or resentment for the way our life has turned out?   Is it anger turned inwards towards ourselves for letting it happen?
Anger, resentment, shame and guilt are emotions AND emotions, meaning e-motion .. are energy in motion.   These pieces of energy called emotions can be allowed to move through us.   We can learn to find out where the anger, the resentment, the guilt are residing in our body. We can then make a choice to let these emotions move or shift so that they can be replaced by flowing energy and ultimately, bring about a more peaceful life for us and a life that we are more in control of.
Because we are all so unique and have our own unique “stories” in life about why we are the way we are and, why we react the way we do to different things by looking at our stories we can find our triggers!
We can learn to find our own authentic voice that tells our real story and sheds the old triggers.
The most important thing to remember is we can change and when we do it is empowering to live the life we desire.
