What is EFT?

EFT is a meridian energy therapy which is highly effective in removing blockages from our energy systems including negative emotions, fear, and phobias.   EFT can be used to treat the emotional component of weight issues – either loss or gain, inner child issues, physical conditions which have emotional components, cravings etc.    As well as removal of blockages EFT also increases the energy flow to all parts of our body enhancing well-being on a mental and physical level.

EFT can be used to treat the emotional component of such ailments as loneliness, arthritis, headaches, fear, heartache, addictions, dyslexia, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, phobias, Parkinson’s Disease, chronic fatigue, obesity, low self-esteem, cancer, autism.

EFT really gets to the root of a problem and often works when other avenues have been exhausted with no success.

EFT is a great children’s therapy.  It can be used to help children eliminate their fears, anxiety issues, bereavement issues, bullying etc.  and also to help them increase their self-esteem.   I have taught children as young as 6 to tap.  It is truly wonderful to give a child a self-development tool that they can use for the rest of their lives.    See my published article on Tapping With Children.

Why use EFT?

There is no need to settle for a life of poor health, no need to carry emotional baggage and no need to live life with low self-esteem.   There is no need to be stuck with compulsions and addictions.  The cycle you are stuck in can be broken, you can take control back of your own life.  EFT is a powerful tool that you can use on just about anything.   You can do EFT at home, at the office whenever and wherever you need to.  You can massage the points instead of tapping them if you are in the middle of an important meeting and are nervous about giving a presentation, or in any sticky situation.   With EFT you can discover the vital ingredient of emotional wholeness and physical relief.    It is a simple and effective technique that anyone can learn.

How to Tap

Tapping is very easy, it requires a light tapping on the meridian energy points with your index and middle finger.  Tap not so lightly that you cannot feel it or not so hard that you hurt yourself.   Basically, you are saying affirmations whilst tapping on the various points.   Any problem that has an emotional aspect can benefit from tapping.  There are no right or wrong affirmations, it is whatever you, yourself feel about a problem, it is your energy body with your energy blockages so no one can tell you what to say!  We are all unique with our unique energy bodies.

Example of an affirmation to use whilst tapping the various points;

“I am happy, healthy and deserving.” Feel free to use your own wording … it’s your energy body and you know what it needs!

The Tapping Points
Top Of The Head – The highest point on the top of your head.

Third Eye Point – In the centre of your forehead.

Start Of The Eyebrow – Where the bone behind your eyebrow turns into the bridge of your nose.

Corner Of The Eye – On the bone in the corner of your eye.

Under The Eye – On the bone just below your eye, in line with your pupil if you look straight ahead.

Under The Nose – Between you nose and your upper lip

Under The Mouth – In the indentation between your chin and your lower lip

Under The Collarbone – In the angle formed by your collarbone and the breastbone

Thumb – all finger points are on the side of the finger, in line with the nail bed.

Index Finger

Middle Finger

Ring Finger

Little Finger

Karate Chop Point – on the side of your hand, roughly in line with your life line.

Example of an affirmation to use whilst tapping the various points;
